Five Ways to Celebrate National Donut Day 2020

The first Friday in June is known as National Donut Day thanks to The Salvation Army in Chicago recognizing women who served soldiers donuts during World War I.
This year, Entenmann’s is accepting From May 20 through June 18, fans can nominate the deserving healthcare workers in their lives through a public post on Instagram or Twitter, using hashtags #StandingDoughnation and #Promotion and by following and tagging @Entenmanns. Winners will be drawn daily throughout the sweepstakes period.
Here are a half dozen ways to celebrate National Donut Day this year.
Nominate a Healthcare Worker
Through June 18, you can nominate a healthcare worker for Entenmann’s Standing Doughnation Sweepstakes through a public post on Instagram or Twitter using hashtags #StandingDoughnation and #Promotion and by following and tagging @Entenmanns. Prizes include a $500 cash prize, a $500 donation to their respective hospital or care facility, and donuts.
Eat a donut (or Two)
Dunkin’ is offering a free classic donut, while supplies last on June 5, of your choice at participating locations with the purchase of a beverage.
Since the days and weeks are blurring together for a lot of us, Krispy Kreme is giving a free doughnut of your choice while supplies last at participating U.S. Krispy Kreme shops and drive-thrus from June 1 – 5. No purchase is necessary.
Decorate Some Donuts
Dunkin’ now offers DIY Dunkin’ Donut kits, which includes plain donut rings, three different types of frosting, and a variety of sprinkles. Check your local Dunkin’ to see if these kits are available.
Make some donuts
Bake homemade donuts using donut pans.
If you prefer fried donuts, then grab some vegetable oil and Pillsbury biscuits to make these tasty treats.
