SpeechWorks is an out of network provider with all insurance companies. This means that we provide speech-language evaluations, and therapy directly to you and all payments are required to SpeechWorks at the time of service. SpeechWorks can provide you with a superbill, which you then provide to your insurance company for reimbursement.
If you plan to submit bills to your insurance company, you should:
*Check with your insurance company before your first visit to find out what speech and language services they will pay for.
*Confirm with your insurance company if a referral from your child’s doctor is required. You may need a pre-authorization from your insurance company.
*Understand that referrals and pre-authorizations do not guarantee that insurance will pay for services.
*Be familiar with your out-of-network deductible amount.
Insurance coverage of speech-language therapy services vary by policy. Some plans require medical necessity, some plans limit the number of annual therapy visits, and some plans limit the dollar amount for speech therapy services.
As always, SpeechWorks all major credit cards, Health Savings Accounts (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), cash, and check.
